Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in solar energy, battery storage, EV charging, and electrical maintenance. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires excellent leadership, technical knowledge, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of solar, battery storage, EV charging, and maintenance projects.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, industry standards, and local authority requirements.
- Conduct site visits and audits to assess work quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare project reports, documentation, and performance analysis for stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in managing renewable energy or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, and electrical maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations, CDM 2015, and risk management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar software.
- Full UK driving licence is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Project Management.
- Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is desirable.
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification is a plus.
- Membership of professional bodies such as IET or APM is advantageous.
