Due to our continued success and having recently made a significant internal promotion, this has opened up an excellent opportunity to appoint an Operations Manager to join our thriving team and help lead the business through a period of organic growth. This position would suit an existing Operations Manager within social housing refurbishment or alternatively a Contracts Manager or Project Manager looking for the next step up to Operations Manager.
Responsibilities will include:
· Leading and supporting a team of Contracts Managers and Site Managers.
· Managing both directly employed and subcontracted resources, ensuring they are managed and motivated to deliver cost-effective, high-quality customer focused outputs.
· Being accountable for customer relationships, risk management and project programming as well as business wide delivery performance.
· Reviewing and implementing safety plans and systems of work.
· Assisting in the mobilisation and setup of works.
· Collaborating with the commercial team on financials and project performance.
· Developing work programmes and managing labour plans and workload.
· Driving exceptional health and safety across all our contracts.
· Overseeing complex contract requirements to support Contracts Managers.
· Inputting into business strategy and business improvement processes.
· Input during tender/bidding process on capacity/resources/market rates.

Skills and Experience Required:
- Excellent knowledge of the social housing refurbishment sector.
- A proven track record in managing refurbishment works within social housing with a reputable contractor.
· Relevant experience in thermal upgrades, PAS 2035 compliance, renewable knowledge preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a positive and collaborative leadership style.
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Experience of running multiple projects simultaneously.
- A ‘can do’ attitude and the drive and commitment to help grow the business.
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Health & Safety certifications (ie, SMSTS, First Aid) desirable.
- Commercially aware.
- Full UK Driving License
