- Health and safety duties will include, and not limited to, the provision of:
- a H&S file for each site
- an overview of the procedures & systems for each project
- safe systems of work (SSOW) as required
- risk assessments and method statements as required
- regular tool box talks / briefings (maintaining minutes and attendance records)
- regular training requirements (as identified)
- regular site visits
- audits and inspections
- annual updates for the H&S Policy
- regularly updated record of personnel training certificates
- environmental, drug and alcohol, cyber security, modern slavery, quality and other policies
- intervention cards
- health and safety advice when requested
- COSHH assessments
- statistics and RIDDOR
- record of accidents and investigations
- ensuring welfare facilities are adequate
- liaising between personnel, management and relevant entities to ensure health and safety requirements are met
- training matrix (sample included)
- Any other duties to required to fulfil the requirements of the postion.
Location (International)
Various UK RAF bases and airports.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety
- CSR / CSCS Card
Desirable
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Environmental Management
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety
- First Aid at work
- Mental Health First Aid
- Train the trainer
Experience and Knowledge
- Experience of working under OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety Management System (2 years preferred)
Desirable
- 3+ years’ experience in a Health & Safety Officers Role
- Experience in working under accreditation bodies such as Achilles, CHAS, SMAS & Constructionline
- Experience working as a health & safety officer within Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.
- Familiar with considerate constructors scheme

Full time - Monday to Friday
£40k to £60k (negotiable) depending on experience.

Pay: £40,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
